Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent)
Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) is the federal executive authority which provides state services in regard to the legal protection of intellectual property. Rospatent is also in charge of the legal protection of the state interests in the process of economic turnover of the results of intellectual activity of civil, military, special and dual purposes, created by federal budget assignation, control and monitoring, and international cooperation in the following area. The structure of Rospatent includes Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS), Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property (RGAIS), Federal Agency for Legal Protection of the Results of Intellectual Activity with Military, Special and Dual Purpose (FAPRID). Rospatent is under jurisdiction of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
